    Yeah, it really gets in the way, doesn’t it? At worst it’s a competing voice, or selective listening, like the one where she (the depressed gal, I think it’s the same character) gets a bunch of compliments on her work, and one “It sucks”, which of course is the only one she hears. I can’t remember the number of that particular strip, but it was probably a year or two ago. Too often the competing voice is in one’s own head, as so many of Clay’s strips show so well. But often it’s just cloud cover and the good stuff doesn’t get through.

    The woman with the freckles is one of my favorites. Hey Clay, I notice that how you’ve drawn the characters has changed over time. No complaints, I love all of your work, I just wondered if that was use of different materials/methods or the natural evolution of your drawing?

    Either way, I’m really glad you chose to be an artist! This comic is really great, and “Sexy Losers” was hilarious. As always, thank you.
